Tadoba National Park and Its Wildlife
Maharashtra’s oldest and largest tiger reserve offers accommodation in the best hotels and resorts in Tadoba National Park. Also, known as Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, it is located nearly 150 km from Nagpur city and is close to the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra.
Named after the Taru or Tadoba – a god believed by locals and the Andhari river that flows through it – Tadoba National Park is spread over a total area of 1728 sq. km. Formed in 1986, as Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary and converted to a national park in 1995, Tadoba is a part of the 47 Indian tiger reserves under project tiger.

October to June is the best time to visit tadoba for Tiger Safari. October to March temperature is pleasant and April to June are the hotter months with very good tiger sightings.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days at Tigers Empire Resort in Tadoba near Kolara Safari Gate. It was a very pleasant experience. The food was good and the hospitality was remarkable.
